Review 7/15/2010

I responded to J2/eFax's "Free 30 Trial" offer. I was immediately charged $27. Far from "free", right? The next day (6/21/10) I called, and was told by "gary.p@mail.efax.com" that I'd receive a refund in 3-15 days. I followed up a number of times as the credit was not appearing. On July 2nd I was told by "Dan B" that I would absolutely receive the refund by July 13th. On July 14th I still had not received a refund. I spoke with J2 representative Aragorn Hansard on 7/14. He provided a so-called 'transaction number' that was supposed to be verifiable through my credit card/bank, and assurances that a credit would be received in the 'next day or two'. I called my bank. They advise that the so-called transaction numbers are meaningless to them and are not even in their format. I have received no refund.
Several attempts to speak with someone in J2's accounting/finance are (most specifically, CFO Kathleen Griggs) have been unsuccessful. She has not returned telephone messages left for her. The same is true for other officers of the firm.
J2 is a firm that is perilous with which to business. I have not found them to be ethical, honest, trustworthy, etc. I do not find anything praiseworthy about J2.
