I signed up with a free trial of eFax over a month ago. To my surprise, they billed me $26.95--the exact charges that were supposedly waived as a result of the trial. While they offered me three months' free service as a consolation prize, I find such a large billing mistake to be a big red flag for a country. Customer service was initially very responsive when I requested a refund but when I called to confirm that it was being processed I was stuck on hold for well over an hour, at which point I hung up. I believe I may have called outside of their business hours, but the hold music gave no indication of that.
Stay away from this company if you value accurate billing and responsive customer service.
The service itself generally works as expected, although there are per-fax charges (over a certain monthly limit) that are not initially disclosed.
