DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!!! PLEASE BELIEVE ME! We went to this firm regarding my son's school expulsion case. During the first meeting the attorney was a very good seller. He convinced us to believe that he was experienced and that he would be a good advocate for my son. He told us the whole expulsion process from start to finish and stated that his FLAT fee of $10,000 would cover everything from start to finish. They are so concern about money that they will run your credit, background and get full history before they accept your case. So first off the lawyer didn't even do things that is taught in law school 101, like request my son's school records. When we walk into the hearing the school official arguing against my son was in meeting with the panel for at least 25 minutes alone. He didn't say anything, didn't question anything nor put anything on the record regarding this. In fact what he should have done was request that the hearing be stopped since it was clear that my son would receive an unfair and bias hearing. He didn't present my son's case. He basically gave the panel (that works for the school district) the packet and said "read the packet, just make sure you read the packet". My son's future is on the line and this is how he is earning his $10,000 by telling the panel that already is bias to read the packet. Then after the hearing he didn't question when the school official walked out 7 minutes later, clearly showing that he met with the panel during their deliberations, it didn't even faze him. It is clear not what this firms concept is. Do as little as possible during the hearing because that "flat fee that covers everything from start to finish" doesn't include the appeal. This firm refuses to prepare declarations that would clear up two of the things the attorney messed up - oh well they will for $500/hour. But you would think that since their attorney messed things up they would be willing to do this or better yet IF THEY HAD MY SON'S BEST INTEREST - what is taking 15 minutes out of your day to prepare something that would help a teenager. That is how heartless this firm is and how they are all about money. I could go on and on about everything this firm is about but I will leave you with this one of the senior partners of the firm just emailed me this "if someone has a prior history of being dishonest including prior criminal acts of dishonesty that is highly relevant." This firm handles criminal defense. Is this a firm that you would want to represent you when you are fighting for you freedom????? I'm telling you do not fall for their great sales tactics, do not hire this law firm.
