My husband and I, too, have been scammed by this company. He signed a contract in June, 2008 after talking to Matt Hicks who told him verbally that if our timeshare was not sold in 120 days we would get our fee of $698 refunded. Not until we received our contract, which was after the 3 day recission period, did we see that it is refunded only if the timeshare is sold. I have reviewed my "ad" on their website and it tells absolutely nothing about the resort. It is also very difficult to find. When I tried to find my resort listed in their resort listing, it isn't even there. I also tried filing a complaint with my credit card company, VISA, to get my fee refunded, but they ruled in Universal's favor. I have not contacted the attorney general in Florida yet, but I'm getting close to doing it. This year I have received multiple calls from timeshare sellers all wanting up front fees. All of their contracts read the same. I think they all subscribe to the same contract writing service. Are there any legitimate companies willing to sell a timeshare at a reasonable price without scamming the seller? I have contacted this company many times since listing with them, but they fail to response either by phone or email. If you don't want to be taken advantage of, DO NOT LIST OR PAY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY.
