I had been in the market for an Infinite G35 and had researched many dealerships and prices in search for a great deal. When I came across the ford dealership in Costa Mesa, CA, I was thrilled to find the car I was looking for. I decided to call and see if the car was still available , and with my luck it was. The sales rep I spoke with was helpful, courtesy, and advised me I would be receiving a high trade in value for my car and that the price of the Infinite G35 was negotiable. With that said, I commuted over an hour to get what I thought to be a great deal. Upon arrival, I came to find that the sales rep I spoke with was not a sales rep, but rather a receptionist who had given me false information. When I sat down with the actual sales rep, he stated the price of the G35 is not negotiable. I was stunned! I explained to him there would be no reason why I would have driven all the way down here if that was the case. This was the start of the lies. I was then told by the sales rep that the vehicle had been on their lot for only 6 days and that was another factor into why they were not lowering the price, but when looking through the service record they performed on the car it had been their since July 2011. Additionally, when they gave me the price for my trade in value I was speechless. Every other dealership I have went to gave me 2x the amount they offered. I advise the sales rep I was not going to take the deal after I've been repeatedly lied to , was not getting a fair deal on the vehicle, when it has been sitting on their lot for over 3 months, and because of a low trade in value for my car. By the time I finally walked out, the GM decided he wanted to harass my family and I by calling us lairs and wasting their time. I was shocked! I could not believe I drove over an hour to be disrespected my an employee and a company that I was willing to give my money to. The same sales rep contacted me the next day attempting to offer me a “better” deal, but I advised him no matter how great of a deal he can give me I will not be purchasing a vehicle from a dealership who finds it acceptable to lie and disrespect customers. With this experience in mind, I would not recommend purchasing your next vehicle from Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, CA.
