Review 10/17/2010
|
I had Sun King come to my home to see if the 3M Prestige 50 (a clear solar window tint) would be a good tint for the window in the back of my house that faced due west. I needed a film to cut down on the heat entering my home and hopefully reduce my electric bill. The owner of the company, Rodger King came to my home to give me an estimate and to discuss my options. I was told the Prestige 50 would cut the heat by 50%. I arranged for Sun King to install this product on July 13, 2010, for which I paid $880.00 for 11 panes of glass.
The product did not perform as promised and my electric bill actually went up the next month. I have a meter which can record temperatures, and the heat coming through the windows was 132 degrees.
I called Sun King and was given an appointment that the owner would be back out to discuss my concerns. Roger King was a no show. Since then, I have called Sun King 3 additional times, all with promises of a call back....I have yet to get one call back from Rodger King.
I have even been in contact with 3M's regional manager, Michael Giles. He made an appointment with me, and on the day of the appointment, 1 hour before the time he was to meet with me at my home, he said he had car trouble and could not make it....I was told he would reschedule. Surprise....he never called back.
Since then, I have written a letter to 3M about their "authorized Dealer", Sun King Window Tinting, and have yet to hear from them as well.
This product has not performed as promised and I now doubt that the 3M Prestige 50 was even installed. I now believe that just a clear window film was installed with no solar protection what soever. Once I paid my $880.00 bill, this company was no longer interested in even discussing anything with me.
I give this company 0 out of 5 starts. (even though I can't rate it zero stars) There is no customer service once your money is in their pocket.
