My mortgage was sold to Bank of America a year ago. When it was sold it was in foreclosure status however we were in the middle of a loan workout. After weeks of calling BOA to speak to someone on how we can get back on track with payments we were continually told to call back in 2 weeks as no one has been assigned to our loan. I got frustrated. I called Scovis Law Group to see what could be done. David Marks was the front man at Scovis. He sold me but not my husband. Micheal McDermott called and spoke to my husband that they are a legitimate company and he was on NBC talking about how he can help homeowners in trouble etc.....and that Scovis has the "play book" on these big banks and they can definatly help us. So after 3 payments of $798 the ball began to move or so we thought. First of all, after a month of being with Scovis, BOA had heard anything from them. Not a good sign. David Marks said there was a mistake with our file and made up some excuse. Our "processor" was Isabelle Maadi and we are in good hands. Ok lets move forward. Every piece of correspondance from BOA I sent to Scovis including an offer to work out our payments as we were told not to communicate with BOA anymore, they were on it! We began to get monthly generic emails from Isabelle Maadi's assistant, Ashley, now Jessica Talen stating that they spoke with "whoever" at BOA and no new documents were needed at this time. Now I accidently find out that Scovis is now Audit Processing and Isabelle said that they are no longer associated with Scovis. I consulted with a reputable firm pertaining to my situation. I have a very slim chance to get a loan modification because of the length of time that has gone by. I called BOA and the person who was working on my loan has left and my file is just sitting there in limbo. We are hard working trusting people that have good intentions of getting caught up on our home and now because of Scovis/Audit Processing/Isabelle Maddi and the whole group we are going to loose our home unless BOA has some thread of sympathy for us. My emails with my concerns have gone on unanswered and I am coming to the realization that I have been taken advantage of. I am saddened that there are people out there who can actually sleep at night knowing they took peoples savings and in return did nothing but let them loose their homes. Karma!
