To summarize my experience with this company, let me just say this is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. If I could give them 0 stars I would but it defaults to 1 being the lowest. I am not a customer of this company (thank god!) but when my car was rear ended by someone who was insured by them, I had to go through them to get my car repaired. Let me just say that my insurance company would've had all this taken care of in 1 week because the damage wasn't that bad. The accident happened a little over a month and went into the shop about 2 weeks ago and it's still not ready and it's not because of the body shop.
First of all, I called them to file my claim. A week later a damage appraiser came to my house to take a look at it. He walked around the car once and was done. He was rude. Then I had to wait a few days for them to file the estimate So I can take it to get fixed. I was calling them almost every day to check up on them to see when they were ready. When they finally were, I asked if they had preferred shops to take my car to, which most companies do, and they said it didn't matter. So I called my insurance Progressive, filed a claim with them as well and used a preferred shop from them. When I made the arrangements to take my car in it was Monday May 3. I was told it would take 3 days in the shop. I asked about getting a car rental because I would need one for work. They wanted me to pay it up front which upset me because the car accident was not my fault and I didn't have the money to fund that. Any other company provides you with one without money from your pocket. I had to call them and argue with them So they said they would send me a $200 check for the rental which they said I would receive that Saturday. So thinking I would be getting that check, I got a rental and took my car into the shop. As soon as I got there the guy checked it out and found a lot more damage. He would need to speak to them and tell them what else he found. He was trying to get a hold of them almost a week to get the okay on fixing the car. So my car was in the shop for a week just sitting there because this company apparently likes to take a long time. The whole time its been in there he has been calling me and updating me on what's going on, the insurance company has not called me once. Last week I called the adjuster again and told her I hadn't received the check. She said there was something that happened with the checks So they would send it that day. Which added onto my anger at them even more. I don't like the way they give me dates and don't stick to them. So far I've paid $500 for the rental and my car is still not done. I had been calling them for the past few days to see when it would be finished and to ask about the check, but I got no calls back. So I called again today and they said they don't know when it will be done and that they're going to send me the check today. I spoke to the body shop after to see if maybe they had an answer and he asked me if the adjuster had told me about something I have to pay. My muffler was damaged in the accident and because my car is an older model they said they would only cover 35% of it So I have to pay about $160. When I spoke to the adjuster she didn't tell me, I wonder when they would've decided to. At this point I am beyond angry. This accident was not my fault and yet they make me feel like it was. Had I known this was the way it would be going through them, I would've just not filed a claim and paid for it to get it fixed out of my own pocket to save myself all this trouble, anger, and time.
So my advice to you, DO NOT use this company unless you want the worse service. The people are rude, they take long, and it seems like they give you the run around. I'm sure no one wants to deal with that especially when they have been in a car accident and just want to get the process over with.
