I was told my $1995 was just going to be a hold against my credit card until my title search was completed. We contacted the credit card company to find out what we should do to protect ourselves. Turns out the hold went through as a charge (from Paris) along with a foreign currency charge. Have left many messages for our rep Katie Morgan. Filed a dispute with my credit card company. Katie did finally call me back to let me know that my title search came back clean and they were returning the money, but that I would be getting a call from the finance company because the "new buyers" want to buy my banked weeks too for $2,000/week, but this other company (Allstate Properties) just needed another $2,000 to complete the transfer. I told the guy at Allstate that I haven't received my credit from Prudential yet, he said Prudential will credit all the money after the close of the property. I said, no it was only to be a "hold" on my card, not a charge. Never heard from him again! It's been 2 weeks, still haven't seen a credit and have left several more messages for Katie with no returned calls. Did hear from my credit card company today and they are going to call Prudential ;) We'll see...
