VERY BAD COMPANY
|
In March 2013, Premier Pools of Margate, FL ( www.DiamondBritePros.com ) was hired to re Diamond Brite my pool. I was told that the process would begin on Monday and be completely finished and filled by that Friday. The job was not finished (filled) until the following Tuesday (4 days late). On Monday the pool was drained and on Tuesday the prep work began. Once the prep work was finished on Wednesday, I heard nothing from Premier. I tried calling several times but the phone was never answered. I finally emailed Chris and he emailed me back stating they could not start the Diamond Brite on Thursday as planned because the bonding material they prepped the pool with had to dry. I was told by Premier’s worker the previous day that the bonding took about 2 hours to dry. They were supposed to now come on Friday to do the Diamond Brite but nobody showed up and there was no communication from Premier. At 4:15 pm on Friday afternoon I received a call from Premier telling me that they would be coming the following day (Saturday) to do the Diamond Brite. Once again, nobody showed up. I emailed Chris to find out what was going on and he replied that there was a weather delay and couldn’t make it. That Saturday was a perfect sunny day and his excuse of a weather delay did not make sense. The job was finally completed the following week. I was of the understanding that after the work was completed, Premier would be returning several times to chemically balance the pool and brush the surface – I believe this is the industry standard. Premier only returned one time 2 days later to add chemicals. I had to hire another pool company to correctly balance the chemicals in the pool and brush the new Diamond Brite at an additional cost of $180. Had I understood that Premier did not automatically do this, I never would have retained their service. The opening to my pool skimmer had tile around the opening. The employee who did the prep work and removed the original tile, showed me the new tile that was going to be installed at the skimmer opening to make sure I approved the color. It was approved. When I came home after the Diamond Brite was completed. I saw that they did not install tile around the skimmer opening (just Diamond Brite). I got upset and the manager called Chris. He told me that they never put tile around the skimmer (even though the tiles were shown to me prior). Now the hose for the pool sweeper (which connects through the opening to the skimmer) will be moving back and forth against the rough Diamond Brite (not smooth tile as the pool was before) and over time the hose will get worn away and damaged as will the Diamond Brite. There was rust inside my pool drain as the old plug was made of metal. I was told that the metal plug would be changed for a plastic one. This was not done so rust will now be a continuing issue. The workers emptied and cleaned their buckets on my lawn. The contents from their buckets hardened to a type of cement and ruined patches of the lawn. When they did the prep work, dust covered everything around the pool area. They never cleaned this mess up. The workers doing the Diamond Brite work left garbage behind which I had to clean up. This is a very unprofessional company. Most of these problems would not have become problems had Premier responsibly communicated with me. Instead I had to chase them only to be met with arrogance and lies. Once Premier received my deposit and a signed contract, they had a “customer be damned” attitude. My experience with Premier was extremely unfortunate and upsetting.
