I responded to an ad on craigslist were Jonathan said I would need to come into the office in orange on west champan suite M. They said in order to view the properties I would need to give them 180 in cash, moneyorder or ATM card. I didn't have the cash on me so they pointed me to the ATM machine they had in the office! I should've known then.... But they assured me the 180 was completely refundable if I didn't like any if the properties or if I did the 180 would go toward my first months rent. They also said to disregard any other "for rent" signs from other companies because premier property and OC rentals is a secondary company that comes in and rents out properties for owners who's current Relators are taking too long to Get the properties rented.
They sent me to look at properties at 4 different locations. Meanwhile, I asked my boyfriend to do some research on the company while I was looking at the OUTSIDE of the properties only. He called me back only to tell me all the reviews he'd found on this all being a scam. I immediately went back to the office and asked for my money back because I "didn't like any of the areas the apts were in". They had me talk to Raymond where he preceded to tell me that they had already dropped my money into the safe deposit box and couldn't get it out (even though I had been there only 30 mins prior). He said I had two options; 1) they'd call me when someone else (another victim I'd like to call them) came in and gave cash they could then reimburse me with or I could come back at the end of the business day to collect and if no one had strolled into their web yet he'd personally go to the ATM and get me my money OR 2) he could mail me the money. I asked if I came back the next day could I get the money and was told 'no' because the contract would have been processed. So I went with option 1 and got Ray to write something saying he'd refund my money. I left feeling sick to my stomach. FORTUNATELY for me though he called back within 45 mins saying he had my money. I went back to the office and he returned my cash. I know money is supposed to all look the same but I know these were the same bills I gave them not even 2 hours before.
So, moral of the story, if you did what I did and did your research AFTER giving them your money GO BACK the SAME day. There must be some clause that states some 24 hour contract rule or something. Because ALL the other reviews I've read the poor people haven't received anything. I hope more people will be as lucky as I was. I know how sickening it feels and I'm sorry for all those who fall victim to these scum bags.
