Platinum Publshing called with an incredibly high pressure offer - everytime I resisted the offer got better "if we can close this NOW." They don't want you to have time to think or check them out. My offer was for advertising in magazines distributed at several local golf clubs (including some of the most exclusive in the area). I called two of the clubs. Neither had ever heard of this company and are certain that they don't distribute thier magazines.

Basically they want to give a a deal that's "too good to be true" so they can get your credit card number and move on to the next pigeon. Hang up the minute they say their name - if they can get you on the phone for ten seconds they will keep at you and try to beat you into submission.

PS Platinum Publishing in Delray Beach has an A- BBB rating. There is another one in Clearwater with an F. They claim it's not the same people.

Hi Kevin. We apologize for any confusion, but we do indeed have agreements through the golf clubs via golf pros in the pro shop. Often times If you call the front desk they usually do not know about our agreement with the pro shop. We apologize as well if you felt pressure at all, but we do work on national timelines here and need to get categories filled at a certain pace in order to stay on deadline.
