I just had the worst car experience of my life. I purchased a vehicle from this dealer that had some problems with it. But in the contract, they agreed to fix the car. 4 days after purchasing car, I brought it back for the repairs. Two weeks later... the car was fixed, but when I went to pick it up, the owner told me that they "forgot" to charge me the sales tax and if I wanted to pick up the car, I'd have to pay another $1,400!!!! Meanwhile, he had an associate go outside and block the loaner car I was driving so that I would have no way off the lot. When I told him of course sales tax had been charged and factored into the financing (from 3 weeks prior)... he asked me to show him my contract. I had left it in the glove compartment of the new car (which he had in his possession for 2 weeks). When I went to retrive it... viola... it was gone!! He (the owner/eddie) presented me with a forged contract that showed the price of the vehicle was $1000 higher than I paid, but had zero sales tax. I walked off the lot without my car, the loaner car and without my down payment. I rented a car and went to the Los Angeles Police Department (Pacific Division) and spoke to the Detectives there who were looking in to the matter. I would never want anyone to go through what I have just been through and so, I'm going to see this through with the Attorney General's Office and the BBB.
