My wife and I recently had an in-ground pool and spa built by Pacific Pools and Patios and are very pleased with the result and our experience with them. We selected Pacific Pools and Patios from a field of 5 companies that we had bid on our pool. Pacific Pools and Patios were the best cost for what we wanted and they also fit the construction schedule well into our vacation and work schedules. Overall, we would highly recommend Pacific Pools and Patios if you are obtaining bids to have a pool built.
There were several things that we specifically liked about the experience with Pacific Pools and Patios. First, they provided us with a list of people with phone numbers who they had built pools for recently. They even made appointments for us to go visit some of these customers and see their pools. This really helped us as we have never had a pool before. We visited about a half dozen pools and talked to the owners about their experiences. All of them had good things to say about Pacific Pools and Patios. A big help to us was that we saw several pools which gave us new ideas about what features we might want in our pool and what we didn't care for. It really helped us design in what features we wanted. Likewise, these owners were not shy about letting us know what things to consider doing while construction was going on such as running water lines and electric when trenches were open during construction, etc, etc.
When we were first obtaining bids, Pacific Pools and Patios was the only company that had a computer program that allowed us to visualize the pool we described in 3 dimensions. The program actually allows you to see the pool in your yard and it also generated costs. This allowed us to go through various changes and see what it would look like as well as to see changes to costs. We went through about 8 re-designs before settling in on our pool with its features that fit into our budget. All the other companies just showed us flat drawings and costs. Pacific Pools and Patios was the best price and value for the pool we wanted.
Pacific Pools and patios developed a construction schedule that fit into our lives and travel plans, etc. They stayed on schedule throughout. The only delay that occurred was when we stopped them because we were wanting to make a change before something we had originally selected was installed (they accommodated us very well). The teams that came out that dug the hole, did the plumbing and the electric, installed the pool equipment, did the gunite, plastered, etc were all top notch and friendly. Building a pool is a major undertaking and our experience with Pacific Pools and Patios was great. They led us through the process very well and let us know what would happen and when. There were no surprises.
After the pool was completed, Pacific Pools provided a person to go through all the start up and maintenance with us. He is still available to ask questions to and come check things out if we have any questions or concerns. Since we have never owned a pool before, having someone walk us through everything was really valuable.
We have been enjoying our pool now for less than a year. We highly recommend Pacific Pools and Patios and would use them again if we were going to build another pool. We have nothing but positive things to say about them and our experience with them throughout this pool construction project.
