After trying for over a year to work with my bank directly and going through two separate repayment plans, we were continuously denied a loan modification. Our bank kept telling us that they didn't receive documents that we sent them on numerous occasions. We were falling further behind and decided that we needed help. The first company we worked with took our money and ran, not lifting a finger to help us. Finally, thinking we needed an attorney, we turned to the National Consumer Attorney Group. We hired them in January of 2011 and had our loan modified in March 2011. They assigned a processor to work on our file and communicated with us throughout the process. We had our arrears rolled back into our loan (almost 10 months) and had our interest rate cut in half. I think the biggest difference was having an actual attorney work for us. I want to thank Chuck and his team at NCAG for allowing us to keep our family home. If you are looking for relief, these guys will take care of you.
