My fiancé and I joined this club and were offered a free hour with a personal trainer. Little did we know it was going to be a 2 1/2 hour sales pitch to sign up and hire personal trainers. Very inappropriate. The club already got us for $149 and $60/month - HOW MUCH MORE DO THEY WANT TO BILK OUT OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!! I can see giving someone a sales pitch to join the club, BUT WE ARE ALREADY MEMBERS!! AND THEN HOUND THEM TO SPEND MORE MONEY to hire personal trainers at $60/hr with a $150 sign up fee is ridiculous.
The whole "Free Hour with a Personal Trainer" felt like I was being pressured into buying a ridiculously overpriced service by a Used Car salesman. The clincher for me was when the trainer implied I did not "love my fiancé enough" if I didn't buy their personal training service. Come on!! LA Fitness - you have a lot to learn about customer service! Step one is to not badger existing customers and SECONDLY, don't even try the "Used Car Salesman" tactics ON EXISTING CUSTOMERS! It cheapens the place.
