Nobody had ever serviced my 9-yr-old garage door until yesterday, after we heard a horribly loud boom, which we later learned was a spring snapping. We were left with a dysfunctional garage door. I simply grabbed the phone book and intuitively picked 3 businesses to try. One's phone number is disconnected, another's phone was answered by a machine, then JM Overhead Door's phone was answered by a very kind and knowledgeable human. The father and son who own/operate the business were at our house within an hour, replaced the spring and did a full maintenance on the door opener system. In less than 30 minutes, we paid a very reasonable charge with our credit card and we were left with a fully functional and QUIET garage door! We're actually glad this happened because, at a very reasonable price, we have a garage door that works, and that works much more smoothly and quietly than it did when we bought the house seven years ago. By the way, father and son were clean, kind and intelligent. Compared to other service people we have employed lately, the two are a breath of fresh air!
