I have been working with Richman & Associates for over 13 months. I was originally told that my modification was approved and started to make payments. Come to find out that the modification was in fact DENIED. The answer I received from Richmond was "oh your paperwork must have slipped through the cracks" What kind of excuse is that. ITS NOT. So, I actually had to contact my lender on my own and I set up my own modification directly with them. As per the lenders these Modifications company are SCAMS. They do nothing special that we as Homeowners can do on our own. I paid Richmond and Associates Directly in a certified bank check and they claim now that the file will be closed and shredded if I didn't pay some "Attorney" an additional $600. ITS A SCAM DONT DO IT....I am contacting the District Attorney, The Licensing Board (as they claim to be attorneys), as well as the Banking Department. These type of companies can not prey on citizens that are trying to get back on track, and these no good companies take advantage to rip you off for every penny they can. "DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE MONEY AND DO NOT FALL FOR THE NEW SCAM THEY HAVE JUST PUT OUT THERE THAT THEY CAN NO LONGER WORK ON YOUR FILE BECAUSE ITS NOT COST EFFECTIVE AND FUNDS HAVE RUN OUT, NOW THEY WANT TO SUPPOSABLE THIS "JENNIFER STREAK" TO TAKE OVER THE FILE FOR AN ADDITIONAL $600 "ITS A SCAM" I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL...STAYED TUNED AS I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED AS TO HOW THE LEGAL END OF THIS WILL COME OUT...
