Agency: Washington State Attorney General
Description: On April 11, 2011, the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI), filed a Cease & Desist Order naming this company and its principal, Brian R. Linnekens. According to the State, the defendants were charged with taking property from Washington residents by fraud or misrepresentation while acting as an unlicensed mortgage loan modification company. The DFI also issued a Temporary Cease and Desist Order against the defendants, ordering them to immediately cease and desist unlicensed activity by misrepresenting that Mr. Linnekens was licensed to practice law in Washington, and taking advance fees for loan modification services.
