I would prefer to give them -1 stars, but couldn't. I have read all of the reviews and wish I had known about this site before I purchased my vac (7/6/10.) I checked with the BBB but they didn't have anything at the time. I have not used the vac very much because it is harder to push than my Kirby and does not pick up as well. I was surprised that they only sent one vacuum bag and said 'you have to order others.' When I ordered my vac from Gavin, I was not going to order it when he told me the S&H was 39.95, so, he reduced it to 19.95. When he told me the S&H for the bags ((9.95), I told him to cancel my order because that was too much to pay for S&H for bags, so, he said I would be able to get bags for 5.99. I had to return the first vac because it did not work. I've started using the vac and called for bags and was told they are $12.95 for S&H for 8 bags. These must be some pretty heavy bags. I spoke with Ankur, who I could not understand, and who evidently could not understand me either, because after I explained to him that I was told I would have to pay 5.99, he recited the same scripted response about the bags being 12.99 for 8 bags. I asked him what was a substitute bag that I could purchase from Walmart. Guess he didn't understand--got the same answer about 12.99 for 8 bags. I asked for a supervisor and got Sumit, who was no better than Ankur. It was as if I was not talking; as if they did not hear a word I said. So, I thanked him for his time and told him I would find a substitute bag and I was hanging up. Customer service is in New Delphi, India, and you can't understand a word they are saying and evidently they can't understand a word we are saying either. They don't know how to handle anything that deviates from their script. Shame on American companies that don't care anything about their customers and who sell substandard merchandise. There should be a way to put them out of business or at least have them investigated. Maybe a class action suite?
