Current gamefly customer(6 months),
Expect at least 7-14 days for turn around of any available title. Every time I send a game back, the game is checked in, but a new game is not sent for several days. I do keep high demand games in my que almost exclusively.
Customer service consists of copy and paste responses explaining how it is my fault for not picking games that have higher availability. They blatantly throttle games to customers based on how long you have had the same game in Q, and how many days it has been since they checked the game in. They will then proceed to explain how they constantly monitor game titles for availability and reorder when necessary.
Typically after the 3-4th day of requesting a refund for days without service, I will get a 1 week credit. Submit a complaint with the BBB, and you can get two weeks worth of credit.
My best advice for getting new game titles from this company is to make sure you have a game checked in when the new game title is released.
Slow shipping:
I live ~30 miles from DC, the distribution center is in Pitt. PA. 1 week is typical from my mailbox to being shown as checked in.
Gamefly constantly touts their "fast checkin" service when complaints are made about the shipping time. Apparently as soon as the game reaches the USPS, it should be getting scanned in and gamefly will ship out the next game before they receive the returning game. This simply does not happen.
There response is that not all post offices have scanners. Seriously? DC post office doesn't have a barcode reader? I don't believe it.
