Customer service?!? Contacting Gaia??! Have an issue?!?
Heh, yah you should probably just fold your cards and look elsewhere for help. I'm super dissatisfied this site actually has good standing over all based on all the negative reviews. Looking at their track record here on this site, seems almost 45% got what they feel was deserved. My question is, do the poor kids there actually follow suit and make a complaint here (or anywhere for that matter) where it might be heard? I hardly doubt any of the abused even look into it this far. Anyways...
I guess I'll state I have been a gaia member since 2003. Giving a rough estimate of how much I spent at the site, I'd have to say close to $7,000.00 ...it usually is about 100 a month.
Back in pre-2005 era, these payments were actually considered donations LOL. I mean back when they needed help to survive... now their cards can be found in almost all USA convenient stores (and now in Canada.) Since then their Terms Of Service has changed a lot...mostly now it states as a consumer of their product, you own pretty much nothing and you might as well kiss yer arse goodbye if you think you're actually entitled to what you purchased. And if you have a problem of whats being offered or have a legit consumer concern you can try to fill out a feedback form which will never be answered. Lord knows I tried...emails..PM's to mods...then finding addresses and sending snail mail...and trying online phone numbers. Blah, if you're like me, they'll get you no where.
My complaint was I was banned. According to site's terms and services they need to have hard proof before doing so. (and even worse, you are supposed to have hard proof you did nothing wrong when filling out their forms that they messed up in the ban in the 1st place). Pretty much means if you are banned you have no recourse legally (cough...). Anyways, I was banned with no statement to my account email nor any info in over 15 attempts plus any and all other means in getting any information. I still have no clue as I write up a pathetic attempt to sue their company for funds I spent.
Bottom line...Gaia steals and takes funds behind false pretenses...and they think they have you due to their legally constructed terms of service and contracts you clicked on. But we're consumers. There are laws and paths to take against such a tyranny ! My advice, if you're screwed out of several thousand like me, to dig in deeper and search these laws and file suit.
If you found my post here you obviously aren't looking for cookies and a pat on the back from them saying it's OK. File a complaint here 1st, then another about the status they have here... trustlink (5 star...gah). When done with that, look online and search for legal suits concerning Gaia. I hope I'll provide enough spiders to get you headed in right direction.
Let them know that hiding behind loopholes written for online commerce is not an option...that they will be held liable for retail fraud (not to mention the gambling infringements their violating). Yes there is a reason why the products we buy have a 1-800 number on them...They been down Gaia's path before. All I ask is to let them know we're serious.
If your short of funds (like I am) take a gander online as I plan on having a site open soon to help in the legal matter of those suing Gaia by putting contacts together with legal aids. I also hope to be launching an advertisement campaign and putting up several billboards (depending on support).
Thanks for listening and good luck on your claim... -killgaia
