Business's response - by Chris Winkleron 2/2/2011

It's unfortunate this person had difficulties with their order, however, we in no way laughed about his situation. We are starting our 5th year in business, and there will always be the occasional order that has multiple issues. I am the owner, and the only time I laughed is when he called me a Liberal, and did not believe me; well into a long conversation about his needs, and how we can put together the proper surveillance system to do what he wanted to do. We would never laugh about anyone's situation; we supply the cameras they need to get evidence. He had specific requirements that took a little while to figure out which video recorder will fill them.
We are able to offer a large number of products not normally sold together, by working with a couple dozen suppliers, and orders that contain more than 2 seperate items could ship in two shipments. His camera was to ship to NY from Georgia, and the recorder from us in California. A verbal order was placed over the phone the 17th, and it was MLK Holiday. We ordered the camera to go out Tuesday, and at the end of the day went to overnight the recorder via USPS. The post office was closed for MLK day, and we missed the cut-off for next day, and it would not be delivered until Wednesday, which it was.
On Wednesday, we found out that his camera was out of stock, and immediately ordered one from a NY supplier who sent it overnight, with a video cable, contray to what this person states. It shipped the 19th, and arrived the 20th: UPS Next Day tracking: 1Z1976X00342263300. The supplier failed to include a $5 adapter to make the cable fit the recorder. We overnighted one on the 21st, as we were not able to get to an overnight facility before their cut-off.
Customer reports product is recording, and all is well. We are glad to help, and sad that we were not able to get the items their sooner, though we always respond quickly, and do what we can to make the situation right.
