Rip-off company
|
It appears that I have had the exact same experience as the first poster, Tanuki. I also am acting on my mom's behalf. I also believe this company preys on senior Japanese people because of their trust in Japanese companies and reluctance to be aggressive in obtaining an equitable solution. I am not reluctant. My mom ordered a product she likes from Mainz and received her order without issue. In about a year, they charged $175 to my mom's card without an order, without a receipt, without warning. My mom called 5-6 times a day for a few days with no one answering the phone. She tried many times overt he course of a week and finally got through to a person. The person said that a new girl must have made a mistake and it would be corrected. After months of calling or at least trying to call to find out why the charge was not removed, she finally just gave up. Mainz stole her $175. It is now too late to get recovery from the credit card company and I have zero hope that this company will do anything that resembles honest business practices. I believe that this is the type of experience you will have if you do business with them. They had the audacity to send her a birthday card with a sample lotion just last month. Now that her card has been replaced as with the first poster, they are probably trying to find a way back to her new card to rip her off again.
