Yes, I'm another one of those former employees; my experiences weren't as bad as the other posters, but there were some glaring issues with their "service". I was hired on as a temp and didn't meet production (i.e.; sales) so I was canned.
Just working out numbers for the debt settlement service occasionally didn't add up; I've seen instances where the monthly payment wouldn't cover the debt (and let's not forget the $50/monthly charge that the attorney will add). Most of the calls I fielded didn't qualify for the debt consolidation service, as they either had too much debt or the creditors wouldn't lower the APR.
All the verbiage we told the clients were completely scripted to either comply with laws or company policy. Best bet is probably to consult an attorney or other financial professional.
