Review 4/20/2011

I have to say, after almost a year of horrendous court appearances every month, walking out of the court house today April 6, 2011 with the DUI charges dropped, seems like a dream. I am still in shock and I cannot believe Mr. Genis made it happen! How? I asked him crying of joy and shock. How did you do it? "I told you I would get you out of this" he says, "and I keep my word" and so he did. I was first stopped almost a year ago in May of 2010 where the officers not only insulted me and disrespected me but handcuffed me and sent me straight to jail. The reason i was pulled over was I was texting and swerved. My bad luck was the sheriff right behind me and I happened to have had one glass of wine right before I got in the car. After a sleepless night in jail my world started to shatter every day more and more until I hired Mr. Genis. I first went for the public defender which were completely worthless and took them 3 months to retest my blood (blood test was 0.10 then retested 0.12) because I couldn't afford a real attorney, but they did nothing for me so I went for a free consultant at Mr. Genis office. The price was way high and Mr. Genis was very business like and over confident. The over confidence and the high price scared me so I decided to go with Mr. William Makler who was so nice at first and way cheaper but that not only did not believe me but told me to take a wet reckless which the public defender had already got me which is no different then a DUI. In October I was desperate and had nowhere to go so went back to Mr. Genis and told him my situation. Not only he was kind, understanding and generous but also he assured me he would win my case. He allowed me to pay him monthly fees also when I couldn't afford to pay for a DNA test he payed upfront for the test himself trusting me and wanting the best for me. I was there in court with him every court appearance and he was there sharp at 830am sometimes even earlier. My case went to 3 different judges and finally Mr. Genis said we have to go to trail. At this point I was so discouraged. During the second day of choosing the jury Mr. Genis, the prosecutor and the judge go in chambers, while I sit in front of 100 people waiting in silence. I cannot describe the horror the tension the anticipation. Mr. Genis comes out and we leave the court room and he says: "the DUI charges were dropped" He had fought for me so hard and got my DUI charges dropped. I had been trying to apply for medical school that year and i found out with a DUI charge not only I couldn't get in and I couldn't get loans, but also all insurances go way high; health, life, car insurance and every where you go they label you as an alcoholic. What I wish I would have done different is hire Mr. Genis way earlier then October 2010. Hiring him was the best thing I ever did for myself. Not only he got me off the DUI case but he also restored faith in me that justice can be done when the right men are fighting for it. He is worth every thing I payed for (trust me you will pay way more in those 10 years you will be labeled as an alcoholic). Not only he was passionate, dedicated, hardworking, knowledgeable, trustworthy and responsive but also showed me that when you meet generous and kind people like Mr. Genis the struggling journey of life is worth while. He never gave up on me on and on the case even when i was discouraged and we got nowhere with the prosecutor. He was confident and 100% sure of his skills and he made it happen. This whole nightmare, thanks to Mr. Genis's hard work, showed me that after all, there is great beauty, integrity, honor and justice in the world. They always reveal themselves along the way in every single journey perhaps not perfection but profound connections that sustain one and restore faith that there are few good men and women out there. For such justice I am grateful for the rest of my life. THANK YOU MR. GENIS!!!!!
