CreditScore.com is not legit
|
First off, even though you are led to believe that you are receiving a full credit report and credit score from creditscore.com, you are not. Creditscore.com will only give you the experian score which isn't widely used. You have to pay to get the real
credit scores from the agencies that a creditor will actually be using to determine your credit worthiness. Experian is kind of like looking up a car value on Kelly Blue Book, it may be in the ball park, but when 5 points either way on your credit score can
mean the difference between getting the best rate or being rated second tier, you really need to be closer than in the ballpark! Creditscore.com will then start billing you monthly even though there is no clear indication on the website or the numerous e-mails
they send you that you are signing up for a monthly membership. Is there anything worse than getting billed for something that is basically worthless? Finally when you call to cancel they try to up-sell you and refuse to credit you back any money they have
already collected. If it sounds like a scam it kind of felt that way to me too. If your looking for a legit credit reporting company, creditscore.com is not it!
