There are reasons to be leery about this company. They have not been in business for a year yet, claim over 100 years experience, and already have 19 complaints through the BBB, who gives this business a rating of D-. I am not a customer because of these reasons and my personal experience below.
I received a call on Thursday night (7-16-09) from Creative Vacation Solutions' Financial Director Jerry Cronins. He offered to sell my timeshare for $1,287. He also offered to help get my money back from the company I listed my St. Martin property with last year. When I told him I don't have a credit card for the amount of the fees, he asked me how much I had available. I told him $1,000. He then asked if I belonged to any associations. When I said I did, a magical discount of $400 was applied and he told me I would only have to pay $999. I was taught in grammar school that 1287 - 400 = 887, not 999. How fortunate that this amount fits the amount I have left on my credit card!
When I asked for a phone number to call him back, Jerry asked me to hold while he obtained his desk number. I work at a desk and I don't have to look up my number (strange). He ended up giving me a cell phone number, still calling it his "desk number". When he calls me back tonight, I will be turning his offer down.
