Received a call stating they had a firm offer on my property. After hearing the whole pitch and convincing myself that if they didn't perform I could have the charge reversed, I was sent to a "Quality Assurance" guy. Long story short, my credit card company denied the charge because it was of an unusual size...I don't normally make $1994 charges, AND, it originated from Aruba, which did not at all agree with where they told me they were located.(Yes, another red flag)
The whole story sounded too good to be true...and I expressed my concern to the representatives at several points in the process. They always had a slick response. But after several minutes of questioning, and now, after thinking back over the experience, I realized that the story changed at several points during the processs. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is!
Thank God! Crisis Avoided this time!
