And Continental Vacation Services SCAM goes on! Today I received a call that they had an offer of $11,600 on my one week every three years time share at Vacation Village in Fl which like everyone else far exceeds what I paid for it. They had a customer to buy it who already put down $3000. I am very skeptical of these deals, ESPECIALLY if they ask for upfront money and told them that. I went through the process of exchanging legal documents with "Shawn Thomas" (probably his name this week!), getting the certified check, etc. and it was beginning to sound like a true real estate transaction and then he mentioned the "Legal Retainer" for $1388 and wouldn't you know it..they needed it charged to a credit card today! I said NO without any paper work and they finally offered to fax me a voided purchase and sale agreement so I could be assured I would get it back if the transaction did not go through. Needless to say, they never faxed anything but while I was waiting I Googled their name and found this site. I'm not sure what I would have done if they did send me something, but now once again I have reaffirmed I WILL NEVER SEND MONEY UP FRONT! These companies are just scams...all of them. Be AWARE.
