I spoke with Michael McGinley of Continental Vacation Services regarding the sale of my father's timeshare. This is the 3rd person in 6 weeks from this company who has called with a buyer and just needs $1886.00 so that they can send the purchase agreement to me and I will have 7 days to review it and sign it and send it back to them. I told them that I would not send them any money until I had something in writing assuring me that I could get this money back if things did not happen as they explained. They would not send me anything in writing. I asked for an email explaining why I had to send them money up front and how I could get that money back - they absolutely refuse to put anything in writing before they get my money! NO WAY! I offered to leave the money and deed with our attorney and they could send the papers to him and if he thought it looked OK, we'd procede. Still not willing to work with me. Said they would have to match the buyer up with another similar unit if we couldn't get together. I said that was fine with me and please remove my father's name from your calling list. I don't trust them - I was given a license number which I could not find with DPBR and told them so - their response was that this was not a real estate license but rather a sales license for luxury items. I could go on but you get the picture. Stay clear of them.
