I too received a call from "Eric" the "Jr. Associate" and recently from "James Burros". Somehow they found out I have a timeshare, and although I really need to sell it, I also CAN NOT afford to get scammed! He is asking for a $1,388 refundable fee and after I sign the paperwork (that I'll get in 48 hours and have 7 hours to review) they'll send me a $13,800 check that I can cash because they already have a buyer. But, first, before I see any paperwork he wants to pay the fee! How does that make any sense?!?! I asked him if he was crazy! I told him, "Why would I give some guy I don't even know my debit card information???"
He rattled off some Florida based version of the BBB, but not the BBB, and that they have lawyers, etc., etc. This is the web site he sent me to: http://www.continentaltimeshareservices.com/ I went there...pretty tacky, and none of the supposed testimonial are dated.
During the first phone call last week, I couldn't remember what I paid for the timeshare (which they honestly should know)...so I told him between 10 and 12 thousand, and then a week later they come back with $13,800. Hello? The economy sucks right now, so I know for sure that this company is full of malarkey and is a total SCAM, because no one would buy my timeshare for that much money!!! How do these people sleep at night?! Do NOT give them your information!
