Since 2008, my husband and I have seemed to be bombarded with just plain bad luck. Our Countrywide loan was almost twice the size of the house's value and we had lost a buttload in stocks. Long story short, my aunt who had a rental property suggested I have cls take a look at my loan. She mentioned the analyst she worked with not only helped her lower the monthly payment, but also went so far as to draw up new rental payment plans for her tenants, not to mention creating online adds to fill up the remaining rooms in the rental. As for my home, we got a principal reduction and a point off of our interest rate. the savings were not exactly as great as I had hoped, but the fact that BofA was able to come down from the original loan amount was enough for us with this modification.
