I paid this firm $1995.00 to help me with a loan modification. They sent me tons of paperwork at first and seemed Liget. After all of the paperwork was done I never heard back from my representative John Plat. Dozens of messages were left for him with no return calls. When I threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, only then did I receive a call back. After 12 months of nowhere I decided this was a waste of money and I would have to be the one dealing with my mortgage company. I set up for the Obama program through my lender and received new paperwork from them to modify my mortgage. Calstar Lending and John Plat had nothing to do with this process at all. Two days after I set this up with the bank, John Plat calls me like he did all of this leg work and did me this huge favor, what a joke. I did not want to ruffle any feathers so I went along with it; after all he still had my $1995.00. I made the three payments with the bank but, I have not received a loan modification or a payment outline to continue the payments. I called the firm that I hired to help me with this Calstar Lending on January 03, 2010 and still have not had a return call as of today March 01, 2010. I know of 3 other families that have used Calstar Lending for home loan modifications and they too have had the same experience. My experience is not a small fraction of customer dissatisfaction if three other couples that I know of are experiencing the same poor quality of representation and customer service from Calstar Lending. If you are thinking of using this company DON’T TO IT. Save your hard earned money and hire a real firm that will assist you. I have never been treated or disrespected by a company like this in my entire life.
