I bought a 2002 Ford Escape 4 months ago..put 1500.00 down...And I made my first payment to the finance company within 2 weeks...The day after I made my payment the airbag light went off...According to the safety manual I was to take it in immediately...I did...Mind you I took an extra warranty on it.. was the wiring harness....Not covered under my warranty..Bernard's just accused the ford dealership of jacking up prices..refused to help at all..that cost me almost 400.00..less than a week later I parked my Escape in a parking lot where I had a job interview...I was offered a full time position..I went out to the parking lot and the shifting cable broke...I waited for 5 hours for a tow truck in the parking lot...To say the least I was told that they needed someone with a reliable vehicle...Mind you I hadn't even had it a month..The ford dealership called them in an attempt to get me a loaner and he was told that it was my truck, my problem. Now with just 4 months under my belt..The transmission is slipping and somehow I am blowing radiator fluid but with no apparent leaks...Again right now its at a Ford Dealership and for the 3rd time in 4 month I am trying to pay for a truck payment and repair bills and rental cars...I have attempted to call Bernard's and was told they would get back to me..The next time I called I was hung up on...So much for "good Christian people"...Because of all the repair bills I am now 2 months behind on my mortgage..Without a vehicle I cant work but at this rate I am ready to take it and park it at the finance company's front door and say good luck...So much for southern hospitality...And honestly....they are just another car lot that gives car salesman a bad name...If you want a reliable vehicle that you can depend on...dont go to Bernard's!!!!!
