ALL-STATE LAW FIRM OF NEWPORT BEACH SCAMMED ME, TOO
|
I live in Massachusetts and have had a frightinly similar experience with ALL STATE LAW GROUP/FIRM in Newport Beach, California.
They contacted me and seemed to know a lot about my mortgage with CHASE BANK -- which was not in arrears, and with which I had never been late with a payment even once in seven years. But they offered the tantalizing opportunity to get a "government program" loan moficiation that would cut my interest rate down to "at least the 3's ... and possibley lower than 3.0% interest.
I looked on the website, and they trumpted the fact that they had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and had been modifying loans for 30 years. So I took the bait, sent them $3,400 -- A YEAR AGO, MAY 2011! Since then it's been a shell game of changing names, vague explanations, false information. Guy I started with had the name, Patrick Hilton. Hmmm. Brother of Paris and Perez?
Almost impossible to get anyone on the line, they never call you back, and now they appear to have set up a separte shell organization called REALTY LAW CENTER in Alisa Viego, California. Same woman, Liz, referenced in one of the other complaints, kept telling me, "my application is in review." That was January or February. I haven't been able to reach her since.
I've written the Better Business Bureau of Orange County, but they, and the County District Attorney and California consumer protection agencies seem to MIA. I think we're all screwed. I would like to organize a class action suit. Any takers?
