want ss number for pre paid

is it a federal law for us to give our whole ss number for a visa pre paid card if so why .
and can they tell us what to but ,because i paid for the card and put my money on the card no them but they denied me my purchas
when i ask for them to show me on lien where to go about it being a fededal law the could not show it they kelp going back to the agrement that they wrote

There is no purpose for anyone to ask you for your SSN for a prepaid credit card. So if this is merely a card you load with money for use, then no they should not be asking you for your SSN and if they are, I would urge you to contact the Federal Trade Commission as they regulate the credit card industry. However if you are obtaining a secured credit card, that is a diffent story. Secured credit cards use a savings account which will likely require your personal information to establish to use as collateral for your credit line on a secured credit card account.
